Description

Nearly all large species of dragons have a unique dragon louse. Do to this, Dragon Louse, range in sizes from 1 mm to 1 inch and are a highly diverse and dimorphic specie of dragon. Despite their parasitic nature dragon louse are not destructive to their host. While feeding upon their host's blood and exposed tissue,(wounds/ lesions) is an active part of their diet, they also feed on insects and plant matter that may become lodged or found within/on a host.

all Dragon Louse are flightless, many evolved long armed pinchers as a way to cling to their host, fight or to aid in feeding. Others are used purely as ornamental and communication.

The host a Dragon Louse is born on, is the host it will live its entire life upon. At no point in its life cycle will it venture beyond the host it was hatched upon.
Mating is as complex and diverse as the species themselves. The one unifying factor is all dragon louse are born hermaphordites. Many function off of a same sex host pairing: male host/male louse colony, female host/female louse colony. Others are geographically clustered on their hosts. Males on one end of host females on other, mating only with their host's partners louse during their hosts mating. Regardless, nearly all dragon louse mating seasons are succinct with their hosts.
