Piranha Dragon

One would think that it is the flying fire breathing drakes of the north that farmers truly fear, but true fear comes in a chicken sized groundling. It is these little beasts that can decimate an entire herd and run a village to famine. Living in large schools, Piranha dragons are a fiesty swarm of razor sharp teeth, able to take down prey 10xs their size. They hunt as a mob assault, literally overpowering their prey under the sheer mass of their school.  With their sharp teeth they latch onto their prey, creating deep lacerations.  They will eventually lodge themselves head deep into their victim, breathing out of a blow hole located at the back of their head. Not terribly good flyers they are mostly terrestrial but can fly for short distances. Sexually non dimorphic for most of the year, during the mating season males will acquire brilliant red striations along their bodies.
