a flamboyant creature at first glance, males exhibit a secret vibrant array of colorful pulsations only visible to female’s. To be less apparent to predators the male’s true mating colors are displayed in ultraviolet color. They inhabit mangrove swamps. Their modified gills allow for a semi terrestrial life.

Though not particularly agile aerialists males fly backwards, with the aid of their inflatable gas pouch, from tree branch to tree branch flicking their modified feeding quills

thanks. It interesting, I read somewhere that people have a strange fascination with specific iconographic shapes and silhouettes; remnants of our ancestral brains. Maybe somewhere out there in the universal unconscious we tapped into something.
